Keel Campout June 7-9

Larry Keel will be hosting 3 nights of Camping, Fishin’ and Pickin’ this June 7-9 on the Watauaga River just outside Johnson City, TN.

Larry will be bringing his band, The Larry Keel Experience, along with some of his favorite pickin’ buddies, Steve “Big Daddy” McMurry, Will Lee, David Via, and a few more to a private, quaint, and intimate campground alongside some of the best Trout fishing waters in TN. Bring your tent, fly rod, and instruments as we’ll be sleeping out under the stars and pickin’ til late in the night around the fire.

During the day on Friday and Saturday you’ll have time to tie a fly and go try your luck at a fish of a lifetime, stroll or bike up and down the trails, paddle your kayak, whittle a stick, or just lounge around camp. As the sun sets we’ll fire up the grill and the stage for the evening with musical performances by The Larry Keel Experience and Friends. Music will be from 6 pm to 11 pm each day. As evening fades to night we’ll transform from the stage to the campfire untill wee hours of the night, pickin’ and grinin’. On Thursday the gates will open at 1 pm to set up camp, fish, and get cozy in preparation for the next day.

Tickets for the weekend are very limited at $400 and this includes entry for two adults, one camping spot, picnic dinner on Friday & Saturday, and all the amenities of the campground. There is a brand new bath house and restroom facility to make things pleasant and the property is well groomed to take off your shoes and squeeze your toes in the grass.

We will also be offering a $60, two day, show only ticket for Friday & Saturday. Gates will open at 3 pm to midnight each day for all music. Camping is not included. Bring your chair, blanket, and cooler for a relaxing time. Hotels are within 10 mins of the site, and town offers plenty of shopping, restaurants, and local interest. Parking is limited, so we encourage you to carpool, or there’s a taxi and Uber service to get you to and from. Only 40 two day tickets will be offered.
